Bad Kids Go To Hell And My Heart
A couple of months back I attended Comic Con down in my new home of Austin, Texas now I will be the first to say that I really haven’t been following comics I keep pretty up to date on all things Batman, because lets face it he is probably the best hero to come out of comics EVER. Walking around Comic Con kinda sparked that kid in me that loved reading comics, the wonder of a new adventure every week, and spectacle of an epic mini series, getting to see things play out in the most fantastical of ways that couldn’t even begin to be translated onto the small screen or big screen due to budgetary constraints and as a screenwriter it is a dream come true to see these stories come to life.
I was walking around aimlessly, but for some reason kept avoiding the same area of the convention, so I decided with money in hand, to make it a point to go and shop it that area no matter what. I didn’t make it 5 feet into the unexplored corner when I was bamboozled by the beautifully luscious and surprisingly tiny Molly Kizziah.
Here’s tidbit about the story:
Six private school high school kids find themselves stuck in detention on a frightfully dark and stormy Saturday afternoon. During their 8 hour incarceration, each of the six kids falls victim to a horrible “accident” until only one of them remains. As each of these spoiled rich kids bites the dust, the story takes on a series of humorous and frantic twists and turns. Is one of the kids secretly evening the school’s social playing field? Or have the ghosts of prestigious Crestview Academy finally come to punish the school’s worst (and seemingly untouchable) brats? One thing is for sure…Daddy’s money can’t save them now.
The second I got home I started reading and it didn’t leave my hands until I was finished. Christ was this a great read, you care about the characters yet at the same time you want to see them die. The who done it mystery they create is perfectly paced and when you’re done reading the collection you’re craving more. Good news when I spoke to the creators they said that a sequel is coming, and better yet filming starts June 6th on the “Bad Kids Go To Hell” movie in Austin, Texas (yes thats where I live now and I so want in on a PA position or something I want in on this movie in a BAD way…see what I did there) at Spiderwood Studios.
This Comic is epic and if everything goes the way it should than this movie will be just as epic. If you do not own this comic yet then go out and buy it, and make sure you are following @badkidsgotohell and @Spiderwood .
