Nerd Excursion: RTX 2014 Photos

This past weekend was the 4th annual Rooster Teeth Expo (RTX) and bomb scare/false alarm opening night aside it was a pretty amazing weekend. From the RWBY panel were they showed and episode from season 2 to the announcement that Rooster Teeth was now broadening their horizons by throwing their hat into video game development and their first game “RWBY”. 343 Industries “Halo: The Master Chief Collection” presentation where they show us the “blur trailer” and spoke a little about gameplay and how playlist will play a big role in multiplayer as well as single player experience, let us not forget the casting call.

Rooster Teeth’s latest project a feature length sci-fi comedy “Lazer Team” (#1 most funded film in Indiegogo history) held an open casting call for minor roles in the film. Comicpalooza – Quidditch Anyone?

Comicpalooza this past Memorial Day weekend brought us celebrities, comics, cosplay, music and Quidditch. Yes that’s right the sport from Harry Potter, still don’t know what I’m talking about, here’s a quick definition:

Quidditch is a competitive sport in the wizarding world of the Harry Potter universe, and is from the series of children’s novels and movies. It is an extremely rough but very popular semi-contact sport, played by wizards and witches. Matches are played between two teams of seven players riding flying broomsticks, using four balls and six elevated ring-shaped goals, three on each side of the Quidditch pitch (field). In the Harry Potter universe, Quidditch holds a fervent following similar to the position that association football holds as a globally popular sport.

Now that we know exactly what Quidditch is now lets see it in action.
