Dead Island Riptide Review

The first “Dead Island” game, for all its faults, was still pretty fun to play. When I heard “Riptide” was coming out, my first thought was, “It’s pretty late for an expansion,” and then I heard it was going to be a full game. Okay, this could be a good thing, they worked out the kinks from the first to really make the “Riptide” amazing, right?…right?

Injustice: Gods Among Us Review

I do not like fighting games. I actually hate them, but I love DC Comics and the DC Universe as a whole. When I first heard of “Injustice” my mind went immediately to “Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe” and the travesty of a fighting game that was. But, like I said, I love the DC Universe so I will give any DC game a fair shake.

Bioshock Infinite Review

The first “Bioshock” was amazing, and then 2K Marin took over and the second “Bioshock” was not so amazing. So, hopefully now that Irrational Games is back in the driver’s seat the franchise can start heading down the right path again.

Gears of War Judgement Review

I have never been a big fan of the “Gears of War” franchise, mainly because of the gameplay.  I have always felt it was clunky, and I completely understand that that was what they were going for, but it did nothing for me. I figured I would give “Gears of War: Judgment” a shot because it was Baird’s time to shine, and he has always been my favorite character.

God of War Ascension Review (Single player)

Before “Ascension” I had only played “God of War 3.”  I had a PS2 when the series came out, but I just happened to find myself on the Xbox a lot more. I loved “GOW3″ and plan on playing the rest of the titles, but until then let’s take a look at the most recent release, “God of War: Ascension.”

Tomb Raider Review

Finally, the long awaited return of Lara Croft is here, but is that a good thing? The “Tomb Raider” franchise is know for its buxom star, puzzles, crazy level design and the horrendous camera controls, yet every time a new “Tomb Raider” comes out it’s toted as new and improved when it is not. So, let’s see if this one can live up to the “Tomb Raider” legend.

Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time Review

I am a little embarrassed to say that I have never played any of the “Sly Cooper” games.  I know, “How can I call myself a gamer? blah blah blah.”  I found the demo on the PSN and decided to give it a try. I figured I must’ve been an idiot for not having played the other “Sly Cooper” games if the demo of the fourth installment is any indication of how fun the franchise is, so I decided to give the full game a try.

Dead Space 3 Review (Single Player)

There are only a few franchises that when I hear a sequel is coming out I don’t really worry, Borderlands, Battlefield and Dead Space. Dead Space 2 may have faltered a little with the addition of unpolished multiplayer, but thankfully they ditched that idea for co-op.

Isaac Clarke is back after having spent many years in isolation from EarthGov and the world, so much so that Ellie has left him to get on with her life. When Ellie’s ship goes missing, Captain Robert Norton and Sergeant John Carver come to Isaac to help locate her.  At the same time, the Unitologists want to put a bullet in his brain so that no one else will be able to stop the rise of the Markers, and that’s where you take over as Isaac.

Halo 4 Review *May Contain Spoilers*

When I first heard they were making yet another “Halo” game my immediate response was, “Isn’t that franchise dead yet?” If you couldn’t tell from that statement, I am not the biggest fan of the “Halo” games, not so much from a story standpoint but from a multiplayer view. I have played all games except for the first one (I have no desire to play it unless you plan on buying it for me). I figured since I played the old ones, why not this one?

Borderlands 2 Review

Oh, how I have missed Pandora, from the subtle, “Unce unce unce unce, oh check me out” of Claptrap, to the “gazillion” weapons you can find and use to rampage your way through the wasteland. Last time I was saving everyone’s asses I was the soldier Roland; this time around I decided to play it a little differently.  This time I am the Comando Axton, and with my trusty turret I am wreaking havoc on Pandora.
