Dead Island Review

I love all things zombie, but after “Left4Dead 2″ the zombie genre left a pretty bad taste in my mouth.  When I saw the announcement trailer for “Dead Island,” however,  I noticed a glimmer of hope in the distance.

Madden NFL 12 Review

When I wake up in the morning and feel a cool breeze and the smell of fall in the air, one thing comes to mind: football. After months of the NFL being locked out and fearing that the season would not happen, we are now a week away from Opening Day.  With a new season comes a new “Madden,” but is this a new “Madden” worthy of your hard earned cash or is it just a glorified roster update?

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Review

I have never played the original “Deus Ex” games, and to be honest I have never even heard of the series.  Now, I need to play the other two games because after playing this installment I’m addicted.

I only heard about this game after playing “Demon’s Souls” by Atlus.  Upon watching the first trailer I became intrigued.  See for yourselves:

Captain America: Super Soldier Review

I sadly had high hopes for this game, mainly because Captain America was always a blast to play as in “Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 & 2,” but in “Super Soldier,” it feels like a chore.

EDF: Insect Armageddon Review

I was a fan of the first game Earth Defense Force 2017 due solely to Macomgaine constantly playing it, saying it was awesome, and once I sat down to play it, it was an great third person arcade shooter.  The first “EDF” also sparked my interest in D3 Publisher “Dark Sector,” “Dead Head Fred,” “Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard,” “Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond,” “Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad,” and the “Puzzle Quest” series are all games that kept me entertained and they are all from D3P, but will “EDF: Insect Armageddon” be as enjoyable as the first?

Red Faction: Armageddon Review

How many times have you been in a game and thought, “Man, I wish I could just bust right through that wall instead of running around to pick something up?”  Well, this being my first FULL play through of a “Red Faction” game, I’ve got to say, it’s quite refreshing.  Having only played a little of its predecessor, “Red Faction: Guerrilla,” I knew they were carrying over this key element and I was excited about this game.

F.3.A.R. Review

I have never played the first “F.E.A.R.,” only the second one, and in my opinion the second was a great game.  I’m not very fond of sequels, mainly because they suck (i.e. the Halo series), but when I heard Steve Niles, creator of “30 Days of Night,” was writing the story for “F.E.A.R 3,” I figured it would at least be worth the rental.

A Trip Down The Rabbithole You’ll Never Forget

So far this year we have been handed a slew of anticipated games that ended up being sub-par: “Brink,” “Bulletstorm,” “Dragon Age 2,” “Hunted: The Demon’s Forge,” and “inFAMOUS 2.”  Now we have “Alice Madness Returns,” the sequel to American McGee’s “Alice.”

Infamous 2 Review…Sequel or DLC?

Before I begin, let me just first say that I’ve been a true fan of sandbox-style games since I’ve been gaming, coming in second only to JRPG’s.  That is what interested me in the “inFamous” franchise when I purchased my PS3.  Let me say that I was amazed by the well crafted storyline and comic-book style cinema which told the story of Cole MacGrath, a man caught in a disaster in Empire City, thanks to Ray Sphere, granting him powers that no man has ever possessed. What made it even more enticing was the free choice of how you wanted your character to be, Hero or Villain. This to me is somewhat of a growing trend in games these days, letting you connect more to the protagonists.  Large map, free roaming, tons of side missions and a bunch of people in distress kept me hooked for hours on end.  For those of you not familiar with “Spiderman 2,” the game style was basically a carbon copy but with a few tweaks thanks to the good people from Sucker Punch.  Yes, with this they had a hit on their hands, until…
