Crysis 2 Beta
Because of the popularity of the First Person Shooter (FPS) genre, every year the market is flooded with them, and good or bad we’re stuck with them. Crysis 2 will hopefully be the game changer that the genre needs. I love Battlefield: Bad Company 2 as much as the next guy and it is my FPS of choice, but everyone gets bored eventually because everything is the same, but I didn’t feel that way playing the Crysis 2 beta.
The Crysis 2 beta was extremely fun to play, being able to phase in and out of active camo, sliding into cover and just running and sliding in general was a blast, and although sliding isn’t a new thing in gaming, to be able to do that while invisible was pretty sweet. The best part is that you cannot run around the entire match melee-ing people or go into active camo and just hide and kill people as they walk past. You have a power supply and you will drain your battery if you are just running or are in camo, then you have to wait for it to recharge (which doesn’t take that long).
My only complaints are few: it took forever to find matches and I am hoping that that was just a beta hiccup, and bullet damage was a little off- I mean you would unload two clips into an enemy and they would still kill you! I understand the armor and everything, but still, that will need to be tweaked.

Crysis 2 hits shelves March 22, 2011, and if you haven’t pre-ordered your copy yet I suggest you get your ass in gear. All pre-orders will be upgraded to the Limited Edition version for free. Yes, that’s right people, FREE! Here is what you get with the Limited Edition:
• Bonus XP – Players will jump into multiplayer battles with an edge by starting with enough experience points to gain early access to all five pre-set class load-outs.
• SCAR Hologram Decoy – This special attachment to the SCAR will project a hologram image of the player.
• SCAR Weapon Skin
• Platinum Dog Tag – This special one-of-a-kind dog tag is one of over 250 that will be collectible in Crysis 2 multiplayer, helping to separate you from the rest of the field.
All in all, it was a lot of fun to play and I will definitely be picking up a copy of Crysis 2.
