Felicia Day T1GN’s Gaming Goddess
Felicia Day is the epitome of what a Gaming Goddess is. She is an avid gamer of both the PC and console genres, a World of Warcraft geek (no that isn’t an insult), award winning actress, writer, producer and singer.
You may all know her as Codex from her hit web-series, “The Guild,” or as Penny from Joss Whedon’s “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog”, however I know her as Vi from the final season of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”
Born in Huntsville, Alabama, Felicia was home schooled her whole life, which means statistically she is smarter than all of us (thank you Daniel Tosh). The super-genius Felicia Day started college at 16, majoring in violin performance, and then in mathematics at the University of Texas at Austin (go Longhorns).
I won’t bore you with all the details of her life, mainly because I do not like to come off as a creepy-fanboy-stalker-guy (too late?). What I will tell you is that her hit web series is getting a spin off called “Lil Guildies” (I think, but I’m not really sure because the video was released on April Fool’s Day).
Hopefully by the end of the year, SyFy with be releasing “Red,” a modernization of “Little Red Riding Hood.” Felicia will be playing the central character, Virginia Sullivan, a woman born into a family of werewolf hunters who brings her boyfriend home to meet the family. When he is attacked by a werewolf, Virginia’s family tells her to she has to kill him before he turn, but she feels that she can save him; you get the picture. Well, that’s this week’s Gaming Goddess.
